He is often most useful where the work crosses boundaries: hardware and cloud, operations and product, research and production, or engineering and business needs.
Recent work has focused on real-time control software for energy resources, steering batteries, PV parks, wind parks, and heat pumps safely and scalably.
At RISE, Erik worked hands-on with applied digitalization, building proof-of-concepts and running projects with academia, industry, and public organizations. That research background still shapes his work: make unclear ideas concrete, communicate across disciplines, and turn uncertainty into practical next steps.
He uses modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, with the same thoroughness he brings to understanding problems, designing systems, and delivering software that works in practice.
